Wednesday wishlist: My pick of the best Chelsea boots

Sadly, this week I’ve noticed that my old faithful pair of Chelsea boots, that I’ve literally worn to death, are finally falling apart (the weather in London certainly hasn’t helped), so I’m on the hunt for a new, sturdier, pair to take me through this horrible autumnal weather. So here goes for this week’s Wednesday wishlist.

Flora boot, £110, Dr Martens

Flora boots in cherry red, £110, Dr Martens

I first saw this lovely pair of boots in the Cardiff Dr Martens shop a couple of weeks ago and instantly fell in love. Then, a couple of days ago, I saw a woman wearing them and now I absolutely want them. They’ll go well with dresses and jeans and are definitely sturdy, so I won’t need to worry about rain seeping into them.

Next up are these beauties, which are a bit on the pricier side, but still a lovely pair nonetheless. Anyone who knows me knows I have a thing for classic shoes and I have loved Russell & Bromley’s brogues for a little while now. But for the autumn, these brogue style Chelsea boots will do the trick nicely, plus they come in many different colours, although I clearly have a thing for oxblood at the moment.

Finally, I’ve also been lusting after these boots which, let’s face it, are much more within my budget. The colour is drawing me in once again and I really like the chunkier sole. And, best of all, because of their price I can buy them in black too.

What’s on your wishlist this week? I’d love to know.

Wednesday wishlist

Doesn’t time fly quickly? It feels like only yesterday that I was writing the last one of these, more of which can be found here. Let’s start with a dress, shall we?

High Socie-tea dress in Floral, $64.99 Modcloth.com

This week’s Wednesday wishlist is inspired by this beauty I saw on the Modcloth website. It’s getting colder these days and this dress is the perfect one to wear through the late summer months and into the autumn. And at only $64.99, which works out at around £38, it’s a bargain. If you’re more interested in pastels though, Modcloth sell a similar dress in ‘macaron’. What’s not to love?

Next up is the perfect bag to accompany this dress. This one is from Brit-Stitch and the eye-popping red colour will certainly draw attention to any outfit, but that’s all part of the fun, right? Brit-Stitch bags are handmade in the UK, so buying one also means supporting a local business. Plus, it’s always worth following the brand on Twitter or Facebook, as that’s where they post links to special offers and discounts, such as their recent flash sale.

Kontrary Red Patent Mary Jane shoes, £14, Office

I’ve been dreaming of a pair of bright red shoes for ages now and these, from Office, are the perfect ones. Team these with a summery dress, such as the Modcloth one above, or some indigo jeans and enjoy the attention you get while wearing them. These do however remind me a little of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

What’s on your wishlist this week? I love reading posts like this, so send any links my way.

Wednesday wishlist

Now that summer has actually arrived and we’re planning our festivals/summer holidays/beach trips/barbecues, it’s time to start dreaming of all the clothes we can wear to these events (and pretty much constantly throughout the next few months).

First up is the Topshop Frill Hem Cami, which I’ve had my eye on for ages. Annoyingly, it was out of stock when I planned to buy it, then back in stock, back out of stock and now it’s back online again. I’m not sure whether it’s only available online, as none of my local Topshop stores seem to sell it, but if you want it, I suggest you get in there quickly.

Another item that has stayed in my ASOS saved items for a while are these Daisy Printed Culotte Shorts. They also have a similar playsuit, but shorts are far more practical for someone tall like me. I can just imagine wearing these with pretty white tops all summer long.

A colleague of mine recently bought these beauties, the Keel Multi Weave Silver sandals from Office. Although slightly pricey at £45, there’s something so mesmerising about these sandals and I love the whole weave look that’s been around for a little while now. It won’t matter if I turn up to work in the same shoes as the colleague in question, will it?

I’d love to know if you like these kinds of posts. I’m not sure whether I’ll make Wednesday Wishlist a weekly feature, but it’s fun to dream about clothes, right?

I hope you’re all enjoying and making the most of the sunny weather outside. Do you have any barbecues planned?
