Wednesday wishlist

For this week’s Wednesday wishlist I’m chanelling the smart casual look, since it’s starting to cool down outside and I want something comfortable to wear but don’t want to wrap up in jumpers just yet.

Who doesn’t love ASOS first of all? Their selection of beautiful dresses always get me and this one by Glamorous is the perfect frock to wear for birthday celebrations this weekend. Plus, since I recently purchased their near identical red version I know the style will suit me.

Wouldn’t this dress go really well with these faded denim Vans? I’ve been craving a pair of Vans for a while now and I think that a plain pair in a neutral colour would work with a whole range of outfits. Of course, I have also been eyeing up some of the floral and Liberty print ones too.

And, just because, I’ve included a sweet t-shirt to wear with jeans or a skirt for the upcoming autumn weather. This one from Pull & Bear is easily wearable and is perfect for those days when you just need a little comfort. Plus it comes with extra encouragement too. What’s not to love?

Wednesday wishlist

It’s Wednesday again and it’s time to talk about what has made my wishlist this week.

Orla Kiely dress, £52.50, People Tree

Orla Kiely dress, £52.50, People Tree

Dresses are my downfall, I swear, and having been in love with the People Tree brand for years, their collection of designer pieces really make me swoon. This Orla Kiely collab is one of my current faves and, best of all, it has been reduced in price within the last week. What better excuse do you need to snap it up? If you’re after another though, the print is made up of dancing girls, neatly hidden so that you have to take a closer look to see them. If you love Orla’s designs as much as I do, then this is the dress for you.

I know everyone has been talking about these Saltwater sandals lately, but with all the lovely weather we’ve been having, I’ve been craving a pair of sturdy-but-cute sandals and, after attending the Toast sale at the weekend (more on that coming soon), I saw a few pairs of the sandals. Unfortunately, there were none in my size and so I had to go way empty handed, but these exclusive-to-Toast purple Saltwaters will brighten up any summery outfits perfectly and also add a pop of colour to the below skirt.

New Look lace skirt, £39.99, ASOS

New Look lace skirt, £39.99, ASOS

This New Look lace skirt is perfect for covering up those white (or sunburnt) summer legs, great for evenings spent walking along the beach and would even be ideal for a Sunday afternoon stroll. I am a big fan of white right now (probably due to Wimbledon recently taking over my life), although sadly I don’t have the tan to make it look awesome, but that won’t stop me from wearing it. Although a white top would look great teamed with the skirt, a colourful cami would also suit it well, don’t you think?

I’ve spent a bit too much money on clothes in the past week, so sadly I probably won’t be able to purchase any of these for a few weeks at least. However, that means I do have a few posts to share with you in the future. Please let me know if you like these types of posts. And have a good week!

More of the same kind of posts can be found here and here.

Wednesday wishlist

Now that summer has actually arrived and we’re planning our festivals/summer holidays/beach trips/barbecues, it’s time to start dreaming of all the clothes we can wear to these events (and pretty much constantly throughout the next few months).

First up is the Topshop Frill Hem Cami, which I’ve had my eye on for ages. Annoyingly, it was out of stock when I planned to buy it, then back in stock, back out of stock and now it’s back online again. I’m not sure whether it’s only available online, as none of my local Topshop stores seem to sell it, but if you want it, I suggest you get in there quickly.

Another item that has stayed in my ASOS saved items for a while are these Daisy Printed Culotte Shorts. They also have a similar playsuit, but shorts are far more practical for someone tall like me. I can just imagine wearing these with pretty white tops all summer long.

A colleague of mine recently bought these beauties, the Keel Multi Weave Silver sandals from Office. Although slightly pricey at £45, there’s something so mesmerising about these sandals and I love the whole weave look that’s been around for a little while now. It won’t matter if I turn up to work in the same shoes as the colleague in question, will it?

I’d love to know if you like these kinds of posts. I’m not sure whether I’ll make Wednesday Wishlist a weekly feature, but it’s fun to dream about clothes, right?

I hope you’re all enjoying and making the most of the sunny weather outside. Do you have any barbecues planned?

Wednesday wishlist

It’s Wednesday, it’s midweek and we’re all feeling the effects of tiring ourselves out over the bank holiday weekend. In the spirit of cheering us all up, and since I often pore over shopping websites on my lunch hour, I thought I’d introduce my wishlist for the week. In amongst all the craziness of the past week, these are products that I’ve been dreaming of buying.

Firstly, who doesn’t love a good quality leather bag. This one from Brit Stitch is a keeper, that’s for sure. The colours are great, the size is perfect for day trips and I love the little heart.

I’m a sucker for any kind of brogue. I think I actually own a stupid amount of these shoes, but don’t yet have a two-tone pair. These Bertie Lilirose ones would be perfect for adding to my collection.

This Aubrey Rose skirt has been a favourite of mine for a little while now. It’s floral design is perfect for summer and for flaunting those tanned legs. Plus, it would be perfect for sunny day picnics.

Some great fashion places

If you’re new to the street-style fashion scene and want some ideas to steal emulate, then Asos is a great place to start.  Its up-and-coming fashion always has me shaking the pennies out of my purse, but the website is also known nowadays for its blogs.

Spotted is where you’ll find street-style photos arranged by trends.  Asos say that if there’s a trend worth spotting, they’ll be there, and it usually takes them to many places, including the recent London Fashion Week.

Fashionfinder is another part of the website where you’ll find the inspiration you need, including the most popular looks section and the spotlight section, which focuses on a particular blogger each week.  This week’s blogger is Frassy.

So, there you have it.  If you’ve ever lacked the knowledge to go out there and be a trendsetter, then worry no more.
